I’ve said it before, I’ll say it again: I love being a teacher…
Every couple years I get to teach an Electronic Music Production course. During the course I do the homework assignments alongside the students. This EP is the result of those assignments.
These tracks were written in the midst of adjusting to new roles as an adjunct professor at New York Theological Seminary and an auxiliary bishop for my home diocese, the Diocese of the Restoration. Between both changes I’ve been studying more history. Those historical studies spilled over into my music studies and teaching. The results are an EP whose sound ranges from the more historic musique concrète style to a post-rock feel, all the while exuding an ambient electronic sound.
I hope you enjoy this next chapter in the “em-wi” series and the journey that is synaxis.
